CHANGES TO EMPLOYEE ENTITLEMENTS DUE FEB 2009
 
Effective from 1st February 2009
 

The following changes are scheduled for 1st February:

Compensation limits at Employment Tribunal

  • Weeks Pay (maximum entitlement for compensation purposes) £350
  • Basic Award                £10500
  • Compensatory Award    £66200
  • Discrimination claims     No limit
  • Wrongful refusal of flexible working request £2800

Guarantee payments

The guaranteed daily amount is £21.50 per day limited to up to five workless days in any three month period. Where the normal working week is less than five days, the number of day's entitlement to guarantee pay is reduced accordingly.

Statutory Redundancy Pay

  • Weeks pay (maximum entitlement for compensation purposes) £350 (Payments will depend on age and length of service).
  • Maximum redundancy pay  £10500
