Absence from Work (Policy)

This is an example of an organisations Absence Policy.  It may be downloaded from our download section and amended as necessary to fit your own particular needs.

References to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) are current and will be maintained as such.

There is no obligation for an organisation to pay for most absences other than statutory leave such as Holidays, Maternity and Paternity leave.   However it is advisable to detail what is acceptable and not acceptable concerning absence and what absences are payable.
