Pressure Systems

Pressure systems present particular hazards because they can release large amounts of stored thermal and kinetic energy following leaks or explosion of gases, fluids, vapours or steam. The level of risk of failure of pressure systems and equipment depends on a number of factors, including the pressure in the system, the type of liquid or gas used, the suitability of the equipment and the age and condition of the equipment.
