Upper Limb Disorgers (ULDs) are problems with the shoulder and arm including the forearms, elbows, wrists, hands and fingers. They can also include neck pain. Any type of work that involves a worker using their arms to carry out tasks can lead to ULDs. Computer work and assembly work are frequently associated with ULDs.
ULDs can be a serious problem, but it is possible to tackle them effectively by managing the risks.
