Fire is a major cause of losses for Bars, Pubs and Clubs  and indeed for every type of leisure business. It causes billions of pounds worth of damage to businesses large and small each year, and the associated costs and disruption mean that some never recover.

The scale of this problem is in part due to the sheer array of possible causes of fire, from kitchen equipment to smokers' materials, but is exacerbated by inadequate management of fire risks.
